OUR STORY

Established in August 2014 after trying our hand at running a horse boarding business.  We like the farming part - hated the politics of running the horse boarding business!  Decided to find a farm for family to run and our horses to live out their lives without all the drama most horse boarding facilities have.  Along the way we found our farm (about 20 acres) in Smithsburg, Maryland.  It was used to raise goats so the fences and pastures were in place and "goat" proof.  The land adjacent to the farm was also for sale (a little under 8 acres) and was used by the farm owner for hay.  What a perfect combination.  So we moved to the farm in August 2014 and moved our 3 horses from our brother's farm to our own farm.  We soon added another rescue horse, three goats and a rabbit.  Oh did I mention the farm came with over 80 chickens?  Anyone need farm fresh eggs?  We have had a blast learning about rasing chickens so we added first 3 ducks (all hens) then a drake!  Now we have a few more ducks!!

Made our first hay on the farm that summer and netted over 600 square bales!
